Pod filters

Eh? Why?

The std filter is huge and the top open. You won't be finding more power than the std setup and a decent clean filter

If I were to do this, I'd cut just the end of the airboot off and run a long hose through it to the carb, then seal it up with something. This way your filter isn't out in the open getting exposed to mud and water.

Curious though, why?

Just ease of cleaning and having a sure seal. I very rarely ride in muddy conditions. Outerwears work well for that though

It will run better for longer with the std setup.
The amount of owners I've astonished on the dyno by pulling of their crappy pod filters and gaining power.
