Powervalve cover on the 200?

I have one on my 200 now, did not for many years. I really can't tell a difference.......I've done back to back with and without the cover and I think the reason why is my I really can't feel a difference is my pipe which is a Messico pipe has been modified.

My 200 run strong anyway, due to some of the mods that has been done to it, so I might not have been the best person to responed with the info your looking for.

Thanks

i don't know either. i have one on mine, but it's got so many mods going on (like rick's) 'cept i have doma pipe... i've not tried without it..

Even with the 13 51 gearing and the map in sun mode Im not that happy with the power.Any suggestions to waken the low to mid range up? The bike needs major reving to go up hills etc

Put the 2k2 flywheel on it. The 2k3, stock with wires exiting at 2pm, is too much flywheel, the 2k2 has a much smaller rotational inertia and effect, wires exit at 10am, it will make the bike much more free revving and will make the transition into the mid range faster. Thus more responsive.
I'v ridden 200s with the 2 different flywheels and the bike with the 2k2 was noticeably easier to ride aggressively as it was much more willing to rev from the bottom to mid range compared to the 2k3 which required healthy doses of clutch and throttle to get into the meaty mid range.

definitely do the 2k2.

what pipe do you have?

if jetting is rich on the pilot, it'll be sluggish till it gets on the needle...

Thanks a mill all. Rick your PM should be turned into a sticky on 200 setup! What are vforce reeds like on the 200?
