Powervalve Stuck?

Hello there, I have just bought a 2001 Gasser 250 SM converted to a 300, It's done 2k miles from new and has been dry stored for last 4 years and started monthly.

Just took it up the road pulls well through bottom end, then it's as flat as a witches tit from then onwards, so I'm assuming the powervalve is stuck, new to Gassers so any advice on sorting it would be appreciated :)

Duncan.

It's a bit of a pain but you can remove the PV cover on the right side behind the exhaust. Flick the throttle while the engine is running and you can visibly see whether it is opening/closing or not. Be gentle moving the linkage by hand, you can dislodge the roller bearings that actuate it (down inside the case by the clutch), then it will stick for sure.

Problem sorted, bolt on the end of the rod had come loose and fallen out, "censored" me it's fast :D
