Pre-ride superstitions ?

Since it's slow around here.
Do you have any pre-ride routines you do because you're superstitious?

I'm not overly superstitious. But, I always put on my right knee brace and boot on first before I ride.

I still take my Uncles gear bag and all his gear with me every time I ride. He passed away a few years ago. Also have to stop at Wendy's on my way home from every ride. Lol

they day we decided to pick up a spare tire for the trailer my dad got a flat on the trial. then after that failed 3 times putting a new tube in (he did this countless times successfully before) and finally going to the shop and having them do it.

from that point we never buy gear such as the bike lock that we where going to buy after forgetting ours on an overnight trip.

we also get pain au chocolat on our way up north as a light breakfast then a bigger more meaty one once we are up.

I would not call it a superstition, but we say a family prayer before we ride to thank God for the opportunity and to have a safe fun time.

Not so much before but I worship the Gods of Beer religiously after.

We have a similar ceremony here in NZ,but of course yours is a lesser god.;)
Like to give the bike a pat on bars to make sure we are still friends.

I think we can agree that our GG group is made up of a mix of believers and non-believers.

Hahaha. The "chilly bin" full of Carlton Mid is more important than the fuel can arround here. Dehydration can kill.:D

I never run 13 psi in the tires, go out of my way to check and never get on the bike from the r/h side.
