Problem IDing/Baselining Ohlins Shock

Hi,
I have a 2006 EC300 with an Ohlins shock.
I installed a heavier 5.8 shock spring [and .48 fork springs] and want to set the shock to stock settings. I have the forks set but not the shock.
The manual I got with the bike is for an '05 and has no specs.
I searched the Ohlins website http://www.ohlins.com/ and input the number stamped on the top of the shock which is GG 4840 [and 117310 on the opposite side], but it says its for a GG450.
In a post here http://www.gasgasrider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=224&highlight=shock+setting Les of LT Racing states..."High speed compression (the 17 mm hex with rubber boot around it) up to late 2005 would be 3.25 to 3.5 turns out. Late 2005 and 2006 has a different HSCD adjuster, 1.5 to 1.75 turns out."
My shock was set at about 4 turns out.
So me and my little brain are confused. The questions comes down to....
1-What are the baseline setting for this shock?
2-What shock do I really have?

Here is what I have done so far....
Set Preload to 10mm {the original spring had only 6mm of preload}
Set Rebound at 15 clicks out/CCW from bottom
Set Compression at 18 clicks out/CCW from bottom
Set HiSpeedCompression at 1.75 turns out/CCW from bottom.
My VIN number is VTREC30C060754004
Thanks in advance for replying.:)
Happy 4th of July:D

Contact Ohlins next week and ask them for a "spec card" on the GG4840 shock. This will tell you everything about the shock and how it was built when new, shims stacks, part #'s etc. It's very cool. Also ask for base line clicker settings.

I'm not sure if this guy is still at Ohlins but he was the contact I used when I got my spec card for the Ohlins on my 97 KTM in March of 08.

I'm revisiting this old post of mine.
I have the Shock Absorber Specification Cards.
Both are attached below.

The bike should have a GG8880 shock but has a GG4840.
The Ohlins card says it's for a '04 450Enduro not an '06 EC300.

Is this a "terrible" shock?
Is a GG8880 really needed?

Thanks
