Pumpkins buy another champ

Just like the old days when Honda would buy a next years champ. Worked for them. Works for KTM. We would all do the very same thing. Dirt bike careers are short. Better get it where you can. One of the only exceptions that come to mind is Jeff Ward. I think he raced his entire career on a Kawasaki.

Why did he get the boot from Beta?? Anyone know...??

Did he get the boot or just jump to a better opportunity?

It's going to be a stacked field for the US on the extreme enduro circuit and endurocross with both Taylor Roberts and Cody Webb being pumpkin pilots.

They both seem like great guys so I wish them all the best.

Not only Ward, but Destry Abbott as well. Sometimes you do find loyalty. Understandable you gotta go where the money is to put food on the table and hopefully they tuck a good amount away for the future.

I think Mike Lafferty is another one that stayed on, he rode Husaberg last year I think but that was a punkin brand too It is rare though and as mentioned, it's a tight window, you have to move while it's open

I seem to remember reading that Kyle Redmond will take his spot at beta, don't think he got booted from beta probably just got a beetta offer

Not as old as Mike Brown. Maybe a bit outspoken? At least we know it probably won't be Sherco.

Just a guess, maybe Mark Barnett(Suzuki),Adolf Weil(Maico),Gerrit Wolsink(Suzuki), Mike Bell(Yamaha) or Broc Glover(Yamaha) too? Those are the names that came to mind.

Destry rode a KTM in the 1997 ISDE.

It is interesting that that was about the time i started riding and it was not long after that that upside down forks were the rave ... are they still called upside down forks? I think my son would ask why Destry was riding a bike with the forks upside down??
