PV left drain plug

Hi! I'm new to this forum. I think this is my second post. I own a '03 gasgas ec250 and I love it.

Yesterday I was cleaning the left power valve cover and I came across the drain plug (connected on a black rubber tube)just under.

There is a very little hole in the plug...as small as a pilot jet:confused:

Should I drill it larger/bigger?

Thanks

Philippe

I think the hole in my aftermarket PV cover drain is about 1/8". Was it draining like it should? If so I would leave it alone. If it was plugged solid I would drill it a little larger.

Do not drill it out!
It is a calibrated orfice.

If you drill it out bigger, it will render the power valve chamber useless.

my pv cover has no drain, just a screw to empty it occasionally - is there a reason for the drain (aside from sludge build up...)

I remove my cover to cleaqn the PV area. When the cover is off, you can see the bearings and give them a good once over...make sure there not gummed up with "stuff"

The OEM cover does have a drain. You have to remove the retaining bolt in the lower left side of the cover.

The other drain is in the cylinder with a hose attached to it.

Actually, the "drain" at the lower left bolt applies to any PV cover that you are using.

The drain is actually through the threaded bolt hole. There is an opening cast into the cylinder that allows this.
