Random but profoundly sad statistic

I've just noticed that the hour meter on my ride-on lawnmower is increasing at a faster rate than the hour meter on my bike.

BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

Your lawn mower has an hour meter.
If you did the same rides I did, then you wouldnt have a problem would you. Im coming up on 100hours in 11months, and that includes 3 months off with a broken arm.

Hey Bchatt, spot the single guy without kids!11 months & I've only done about 40hrs.Really sad.Have you considered a set of renthals on the lawnmower & some billet hubs?

Sure, my ride-on has an hour meter - John Deere, the finest lawncare equipment that money can buy...God bless America!! You gotta love the Briggs and Stratton V-twin.... sounds just like a Harley. Sometimes when I'm mowing on a warm day, I close my eyes and imagine myself cruisin' down some California highway, wind in my hair, skanky young chick on the back, just livin' the American dream.... and then I smack into the apple tree and wake up.

I wouldn't be bragging about 100 hours in almost a year (or 8 months, broken arm considering). This year was a slow year since I started a new business and I still put on 110 hours in 3 months in spring 2010.

I feel for you guys though, I bought a Husaberg FE390 in August and it still has under 40 hours on it.

Cut the apple tree out,the moths getim anyway.Delegate the cutting of the lawn to the local dirtbag but don't let him cut ya lunch, when your out riding.

I believe the John Deere V twin is actually made by Kawasaki...it does make a lovely sound...but its a 90 deg engine with proper firing intervals

but I dream of California highways just like you....:)

I don't have or need a ride on lawnmower, but the hours are racking up on my snowblower.

Cruiser is a John Deer tech, he will chime in.

100 hours in 8 months isnt bad, considering riding less than once a week, and still being at school, and depending on other people to get to the rides, and not being a bitchin' ISDE lever rider.

Barry is a friend, im allowed to make fun, its the NZ way.
So you interested in coming up into neavs Barry?

I've logged more hours on my Husqvarna than either of my GG's last year but like you, unfortunately my Husky is a riding lawn mower. It also has the Kawasaki engine in it. I hope to rectify this imbalance of time this year but so far it isn't happening.

Don't worry Alan...your going to get more than your fair share of saddle time when the 24 Hrs rolls around. I'm signing you up in the Iron Man class, OK? :)

Yes, some models have Kawasaki engines - mine is definately a B&S 20hp

You get those hours in young fella.Don't wait for Barry & his B.S. Sorry B&S.
I have noticed a pattern forming lately. When I do get out ,the enthusiasm doesn't match the fitness & riding skill, ending in a last lap of the day big off.But just love riding the 2010 300.Don't know how things are else where, but running a business in NZ at the moment generally means working harder for the same coin. The riding does take a back seat at the moment.Mrs Macs pies,Tui beer & strippers just ain't cheap any more!
