Rear engine bolt

This may sound like a daft question but does the rear engine bolt go all the way through the swing arm? I have just taken the frame protectors off and there is no bolt or nut on the brake side of the bike! If it is broken any suggestions on how to get the gear lever side out? Cheers Tony

I think the head of that bolt is just a round head with a notch out of it. Yes, it goes all the way through.

Thanks for that! I now know it is like a pin and isn't supposed to have a bolt on.

Flat face on one side. Bolt on the other. It should run through frame, swingarm, and rear of engine. If its snapped you might have to cut it to free the swing arm and punch out individual parts. Otherwise whole part should be able to be driven out from the threaded side. Bigger hammers help.
