gas gas ec250 2002 model,
for some reason or other my back light keeps going. if it aint the brake light element in the bulb going it's the tail light element going, this is happening on a regular occurance,
has anyone got any ides, i was told to fit a rectifier from the coil to the back light, so it will reduce the power going to the tail light, if this is the way to fix it, anyone know how, as i'm useless at wiring:(

I would replace the stock light with a new LED unit,it will draw much less power and keep your headlight very bright as well

The elements in the bulb are a lot less resistant to vibration when they are energized and if you ever looked at a rear light going down a trail you would see it shaking pretty good. A rectifier changes AC voltage to DC voltage and would not be any help. You could put resistors in the power supply to the light to reduce the voltage but then you end up with a dim light which would be no help.
Go with the advice of fury1 and life will be good.
