Hi. local bloke sells an FSE450 rear shock, a Ohlins. Standard spring (from manual) says its a 4.0nm with 258mm at rest position.
Not sure of the standard spring-rate of a 2006 EC300 with Sachs rear shock, but I am guessing that its rated in the ballpark of a rider weight around 65-75kg.
My Sachs probably has never been at service, and I need a new spring that are around the cost of the used Ohlins - that are in a good shape.
With gear etc, i am around 95kg / 210lbs.
How do you calculate the spring-rate of a rear shock to the weight of the rider? The bike is used on the street as a supermotard.
