A trials tire has a much larger outside diameter which makes your overall gearing higher so you might want to go with the larger sprocket to compensate. Also trials tires are enough bigger that they can eat up your rear shock protector flap unless you make the chain 2 links longer.Great! I'm going to put a 51 or 52 Ironman on my 200 along with a Pirelli MT 43 with a tubliss set up plus a new chain and turn it into a tractor. At least that is my brilliant idea of the week.

+1 I found that out myself when i went to trials tire with stock rear, I wondered where all my low power went to until I did the math. In my case my old S-12 @ 130/80/18 was 81" in circumference and the X-11 Trials @ 4.00x18 was 83" in circumference. Not a lot but did make a noticeable difference. (& mine is a 250). I run 13/51 gearing now & at times think I could stand a 52 or 53 even
No, but a KTM rear rotor is. Rotor bolt holes and OD the same with a mm or so larger ID but makes no difference. I have used them.
What model and year please Inquiring minds need to know.
