Regular vs Race?

I can't wrap my head around what's different between the regular ec300 and the ec300 Race model. From what I can see, the graphics are different. But what else? I have a 2012 EC300 Race and love it. I'm just so curious, especially cause of the factory, I want to be 100% sure of what I'm order when ordering parts. I don't want to order something from a regular ec300 and it not work out for me on the race model.

Race model had a skid plate, talon sprockets, renthal bars, ohlins shock and 48mm marzochi forks. Regular models didn't have any of these parts. Think they had Sachs suspension front and rear. Also the r doesn't have a tail light

Pretty simple solution...download the parts manuals to stick and compare part numbers when in question. Your bike on page 2 http://www.gasgasmotos.es/en/manuals/2.html

I wonder how many "6 days" models have ever seen a qualifier or the big show.

If any

What does that have to do with anything? "Six Days" is just a sub-model letting buyers know that it has options the other bikes don't. I'm pretty sure Nambotion didn't ride every Nambotion model that came out either.

Uh. Count me in the crowd that doesn't get it either.

There are no differences between the "regular" and "race" models when it comes to ordering parts in the future.

And before somebody trips, which always happens with a few of this crowd for whoever knows why.Think about it before you go into auto Gas Gas defense mode.
Read the original post at the beginning of the thread again.

The correct answer is.No difference.

No difference unless you ordering suspension parts

We have a winner.

Fast forward 15 years.Nobody will remember or know the difference. For us who ride Euro and have for years these have always been mix and match bikes.

And in most cases you will be servicing the forks and the shock someplace besides your Gas Gas Dealer.Long odds there. And in that case you will be asked which fork or shock setup you have.

In almost all cases you will be ordering the suspension parts yourself and handing parts and components off to a suspension shop.Which they would not like.Since you have no clue what you may or may not need to do to fully service the fork or shock until you tear it down.
Or you will get the parts and service it yourself.Which in that case you are already a badass bike dude or know one who is and won't be ordering Sachs shock parts for your Ohlins shock. There will be some little almost unreadable numbers some dots, some dashes and colors involved also.Or you will drop off or ship the parts to a suspension shop who give two craps if you have the "race" model or not.
Or you will simply drop the bike off at a shop and they will handle it.If they aren't retards.

Make sure you DO NOT tell the shop people that it's the "race" model, six days model, Namboiat whatever model, or Nantucket sleigh ride model.
They will laugh and you will confirm that you deff are "that guy" which they already knew that.

Hope this helps.
