will the z start clutch fit into a 12 bike , i have seen one at a good price , id like to get a exp but the price is putting me off a little .
did they not make a z start pro for this bike ?

Yes it will.

I have a z start on my 2005 and I have a core on my 2011. the reason I know it works is I took the my Barnett basket out of my 05 and put it in my 11 and put the stock 2011 basket in the 05 with the z start.

I bought my z start used and it has 9 tungston balls. As an auto clutch it works very well. The only real advantage of the core is the core has the normal cluch over ride. I would not hesitate to by the z start and do not think the core is worth the extra money. My core came on the bike when I bought it used so I did not need to shell out the dollars for the clutch. The core is a very good unit just pricey.

Thanks for the comments

I had the z start in a ktm sx 125 and it was a great tool , allthough the lever feel was not so good.
I aggree the cost of the core is way too much , and its more in the uk , we normally end up paying the same in pounds as you do in dollars.
I got my z start coming this morning , i paid ?200 delivered ( about $300 us) so im happy , the cheapest i can get a core for is ?700 or $1100 ish
The ony thing that concerns me is the plastic clutch cover on the 12 and that fibre gasget you get with the rekluse.

Works a treat but needs some fine tuning
