Hello.
ive got a 2007 model ec 250 ohlins shock, got new kit for the lower mount, can I do it without removing the linkage? If so any tips on how to make it easier? I guess use a vice with sockets?

Cheers in advance

pretty sure you will need to remove the linkage, while your there why not check the seals and bearings? Grease em up if need be.

You can do the bearing with the shock on the bike.

Just remove one of the dog bone bolts and rotate dog bone out of the way.

Is it then just a case of use vice and sockets to press the old out and new in? ill probably pull the shock and send for a service while a few bits are apart

You can also use threaded rod, washers and sockets to make a puller/press.

As per most things ive tackled since getting into dirt bikes it was much easier than I thought it was going to be! I just used the vice method as I didnt have threaded rod in the garage but ik definitely going to make myself a bearing tool with rod etc now so its ready gor when I need it next! As always thanks for all your help!
