Riders bucket list

I know a local guy, who I believe is going/or is 76 this year. He's very active, participates in several events each year. He also works with local vets(takes them on trail rides...sort of a therapeutic thing). I'd like to still be riding 25 years from now.

Jan B Can you check off Ice Bike riding yet ?

Unfortunately not. Tore my bicep tendon with a slip on my driveway of all things. Recovery is going well so I should be riding again once riding season starts.

Had to cancel a snowmobiling trip in the Canadian Rockies due to the injury.

Well, let me see. I have been very fortunate to be able to buy brand new bikes...alot of them over the 45 years I have been into this sport. Really haven't bought used very often. Buying a new bike is one of the best feelings in the world, all enthusiast need to experience.

I don't really have a bucket list. I have done a bunch of racing in my time. All kinds, all in the dirt though. Never did any road racing, never really wanted to...raced Best in the Desert, lots of desert racing in AZ and Mexico, MX in many states, hare scrambles, enduros, trials, cross country, short track. Back when I started, nobody had a "bucket list"....I wish they had but I guess that I was pretty much "wide ass open" to anything on two wheels in the dirt and thats how I went through life, if it came up on my radar, I did it. I wouldn't do anything different, I have had a good life and its been rich with dirt biking.

There is one thing I would like to do and that would be ride the "5 miles of hell". If I never make it out there to do it, I can die a happy man cause I have had a few rides probably as bad or worse than the 5MOH. ;)

As related to dirt bikes...

1) To ride in the mountains and /or the desert and camp overnight somewhere fairly remote with my son.

2) Hatfield McCoy trip.

3) Win a race.

I will do 1 & 2, but the 3rd one is going to be a lot tougher if not impossible.

I can't cross it off yet, but I am now finishing at the back (like the very last place) of A class... I don't race often enough to earn enough points to move up though so maybe that needs to be the goal: enter more races!

Entering more races doesnt get you to the front of the A class.D37 and D36 guys dont come race Oregon Washington for a reason.Come ride with us for a couple seasons and you will own those guys.Just sayin
A few come to the Funky Chicken National.
Come ride the Devils Head this year if you can make it.
