riding area help...

a suggestion

we are facing a national park service partial closing / limiting access to our main riding area... if you guys have time, there is a "open for comment" tab on the lh side of this page.. go in and ask for "option A" which is no change to the current management of the land...

thanks for your help..

I suggest (assuming you have not already) is become educated on NEPA and writing substantive comments.

we have a group here of about 200 riders, one that has dealt with TPS here before who is writing a letter we are all going to sign and send in also.. He says strength in numbers, so....

we almost lost this riding area in 2005 or 06 due to an arkansas river shiner that they thought was going extinct...

:)

Still might consider researching NEPA and Substantive Comments. A comment written incorrectly can (and they do sometimes) be discarded by the Federal Agency.

Good Luck!

We have various groups attacking ridding areas here in CO....sadly they win because they have more money. It's why my group puts on rides to raise money. Too many people will pay $100 a day to ski but will ride for free and complain about the $25.25 OHV tag...we got to change that mentality before there is no riding left except for illegal riding.

I would say look who is heading up the fight on the OHV'ers behalf and then organize some riding events where you charge money and you donate 100% profits after cost to that fight. My group raised $15,000 last year not bad for our 3rd year being around...this year we are doing $45,000, 2014 we hope to do $100,000.

Money is what you need to fight these silly people and proposals. Good luck down in TX.
