Rod Overstreet is BACK??! YES!

Glad you are back Rod, I think we all felt like you've done so much for GasGas over the past couple of years through the hard times, glad you were able to come back and see things through with Tarrot and it really taking off.

Thank you Jetster, I appreciate the kind words and support.

I really thought I could walk away from the motorsports side of the industry for the financial side, but I was wrong. Day in day out, dealing with money men. No time to ride. Heck, I was never home!

Then on top of that...news that I have another grandchild due here in Jan. when I hadn't seen my 2 year old grandson in 3 months. All in all, I'm too old to worry about climbing the corporate ladder now. What's most important is to make the best of what time I have left and that's having a job doing what I love, spending time with my family, and riding my Gas Gas :D

Being a small business man who is blessed to have 2 hard working smart young sons in his business . I have the oppertunity to be with my family every day .You chose the rite path for sure , now we need to get some new Gasgas bikes to keep you in your new job . Thanks for coming back .

This is outstanding news!

Glad you're back with us Rod; from the point of view of those outside like me, it's a great move for GG.

Keep a trip out to the Giff in mind - not many places that give you views like this :D

Hello again dear friends and thank you for the warm welcome back.

I am very honored in returning to the Torrot / Gas Gas company, and look forward to working with Scot Harden, and of course my long time friends and colleagues C.O.O. of Torrot / GGMNA Mark Berg and Torrot / Gas Gas Global Export Mgr. David Martinez.

As for my participation on the forum, my efforts here will focus on what is most important...and that's riding our Gas Gas motorcycles, along with pictures and write-ups on all things Gas Gas that come my way. I will also try to keep you folks updated on my event travel schedules. Maybe we will be somewhere close to you! The goal is to make this new chapter fun!

So that you know....

This week I will be traveling to South Dakota to tour the new GG parts distribution center, meet the team there, and pick up my new Gas Gas hauler . Then I'm off to Rd 2 of the 2016 Enduro X series with Mark Berg and Geoff Aaron. Should be a good time and I will take plenty of pictures for your viewing enjoyment.

The following weekend, I will be at the AMA / LBL 200 Dual Sport, in Dover TN. I will be there Friday morning, setting up a Torrot / Gas Gas display at the sign up area. If your entered in the event, drop by and say hello!

Weekend after that, tentatively I have scheduled to attend an observed trials at the TTC in eastern TN and again, plan to have the tent up with the new GG and Torrot models there on display.

In Oct, I still have some scheduling to do but Scot and I will be attending the AIME in Orlando FL. This is an awesome show for the retail public, so I hope to run into a few of you there.

OK so that's about it for now. Folks I sincerely appreciate your support and for all the kind words. It's great to be back with my Gas Gas family! :)

Now for the love of god, get to work and get the factory to start outsourcing some nice enduro clothing so I can get the damn orange jersey off. It clashes with my the colors on my six days edition....

We need to ask Jeremiah what's going on with enduro gear. Mark ordered quite a bit of it, but to my knowledge it hasn't arrived yet. I'm in need of new gear as well, and really like the new MSR line. Less flash and more function is my preference.

BTW...I saw the new trials stuff last week, VERY nice! BTW, sizing is getting better but still slightly off by American standards. Just order 1 size larger than what you normally wear and you should be fine.

Proof that the grass isn't always greener on the other side of the fence.:D
Obviously that would depend on the individual. If putting on that suit and tie every morning from the hotel room 1000 miles away from your family makes you happy, then great! My problem is, I like riding a motorcycle and hanging out with others that do the same. For me, the job I had with Yamaha was about as far as one could get from doing what makes me happy ;)

Still, I have no regrets. It was a great experience and I learned ALLOT about how things are changing for dealers who sell something other than off-road machines.

Sometimes you don't know how good your job is until you try something else!

You are the main reason I bought my GG. I am very happy I did. I'll need to get an estart one in the next couple years though due to my knee. Trying to hold off as I'll have 3 kids in college in 3 years.
