Been in London the past two days. Took a trip to Bath and Stonehenge yesterday and watched the countryside go by wondering if you could ride on it. On the way back to London there was well maintained private mx track I was salivating over. Looks like potentially fun riding in this country.

from what i have heard, there are not many great areas for riding in the UK, mostly quarries and some green-laning. Think there are more areas in wales.

This is why the brits do so well in extreme enduros, firstly they do lots of trials riding (a result of limited space) and secondly they are so happy to ride more than 2km without going on the same track again that there is no way they going to stop till the end :-)

Don't take much notice of London - it's like a different country to the rest of the UK. Enduros take place all over the country, many of which are listed in http://www.enduronews.com and the beauty of the uk is that there is such a variety of different types of terrain within such a geographically small area.

The downside is that the social and political climate is against motorsport, and the various dirt bike disciplines face a good deal of opposition.
