I think that the name of the spring at the end of the shifter shaft.Does anyone have a pic of its position,want to make sure I have it on right,thanks.

Do you mean the spring and plate assembly (scorpian) end of the shift shaft, or the little spring for the toe piece of the actual shift lever?

After looking at the spring,it looks nothing like the pic.It is an 03 quad engine,I will try and post a pic.

Can I put a new spring in without removing the clutch pack or must it be removed?

You can put it on without having to remove clutches.
