As you can see it's not orange like my buddies bike behind me, it's.....um.....butterscotch and different. Seems to attract attention LOL.
.....this ride yesterday was not the place for a big maiden voyage on my new bike. Awesome ride of just over 70 miles of unrelenting rocks, roots, mud holes, wet leaves etc. I think many quit at the 40 mile gas. The last 15-20 miles took their toll on me chasing last years NETRA SS champ. I was toast. GREAT ride and I'm VERY sore today.
If you New England guys missed it that's to bad. Great weather also.
I was working the parking area and noticed we had a great turnout,I ended up riding a borrowed 03 KTM 200(dont even ask why my bike is still out of commision )what a joke that bike was, talk about a light switch, side to side just fighting for traction, very very hard to ride smooth for me,I enede up trading the KTM for my 83 PE175 and rode the second loop on the suzuki, first ride on it for me as well, what a toilet! truth is the suspension is leaking from both ends, and the chen shin tires didnt help me in the turns, but I wanted to shake down the bike and get ready to do some work this winter to it,couldnt think of a better ride to test it out on,the bike does rip on the top end,but soft brakes and not being able to turn slowed me down a bit
t,I ended up riding a borrowed 03 KTM 2009(dont even ask why my bike is still out of commision )what a joke that bike was, talk about a light switch, side to side just fighting for traction, very very hard to ride smooth for me
Kevin I assume that is an 03 ktm 200 not 2009. I had an 03 200 and could not ride it for the life of me. It is somewhat heartening hear a rider like yourself had a tough time with the bike!!
