Sprocket torque

There's no spec in the service manual.
Nylok nuts on the back, correct?
Snug them up tight and you'll be good to go.

Get new nylok nuts if you want to be extra cautious.

I would estimate a good torque of 25 ft lbs. Be careful to run your chain with the correct tension. If you get it to tight it will loosen the sprocket bolts real quick....don't ask me how I know....:o

hmmm

I have read about guys who let their sprocket bolts get loose only for a couple hours and severly damaged their hubs. I tighten mine somewhere between tight to very tight.

Apparently if the sprocket gets loose the bolts can/will wear the holes a bit, and even after properly re-tightening there is play in the system, eventually they had hub failures. Expensive and potentially dangerous.
