Hi all

Looking for the gasket that goes around the spyglass on the inner clutch cover- it?s like a hex edge... any clues where I might get one?

Many thanks in advance

Have you taken it out? Cant picture it in my mind. Surely it would be an axial o-ring in a bore?

Have you looked in parts manuals? Used to be on line.

Well that looks easy, just find a small amount of gasket paper. By the 3rd go you will have cut something premo.

You should gave seen the custom gaskets I've made, and I failed paper machete finishing school.

For something that does not get removed, I would clean the threads really good, then coat them with silicone seal and do it up well. It looks like the gasket is so thin that the flange should run up against the case OK. I'd only be concerned if it could not bottom out properly. Then I'd make my own gasket.

I just happened to work on my bike last night, so I looked at the sightglass. Lo and behold it has a copper washer for a gasket. Probably the same size copper washer that's used on the fill plug and the drain plug. And no I'm not going to remove it to take measurements, but I'd bet money on the size (at least on the older bikes).
