I was looking into fixing my starter aswell and read this thread

I ordered the bendix(smu5011) off of amazon.ca I haven't got around to trying the fix yet as the starter is still working 50/50 but i figured it would be better to have to part around for when I do need to replace it. I'm not sure what the shipping costs would be though.
