Stator position

Hi all. In need of help I have a 2001 300ec and I'm trying to get it run better! At the top end of the power it feels flat and cuts out (feels more like ignition) on checking flywheel and stator I see you can adjust timing? Looks like 1deg is this correct and ok to do ? Thanks. It's a 2k3

Coil HV wire where it connects to coil. The bond tends to break, they get loose and collect moisture.
 
Took her on her 1st outing at weekend. Not bad. Still has issue with this cutting out! Will do at a constant throtle?? Now makes me think carbration !! Rich maybe ? Running 182 main 38 pilot
