Steering bearing differences...

Can anyone tell me what the difference is between steering bearings pre and post 06? I'm trying to fit my 06 triple clamp to an 02 bike and the bearings won't seat all the way. Trying to figure out which set to buy...

Go to this website and enter the two different model year bikes. You'll see that one of the two bearings is different between the years. Can't remember if it's the upper or lower...

2006 bearings fit fine. God know what ones were on there!
