Sticking Throttle

Hi there. Thought I'd ask the question, I've got a 2005 EC300. I'm having trouble with the throttle sticking. It's had a new throttle cable and it's properly routed and lubricated. The throttle twist grip is all well lubricated. Do you know if anyone does an after-market aluminium throttle tube or a complete throttle twist grip that fits?

You might want to try a G2 throttle cam w/ a new throttle tube. They now have a model with Delrin bushings. I just ordered one for my bike. I already have one on my KTM.

While I'm a big fan of the G2, I doubt the OEM tube is your problem. If everything is clean, lubed, and adjusted correctly, check the spring guide in the carb slide for proper seating.

Having said that, I have the original G2 in my GasGas, and the new Delrin bushing tube G2 in my Hypermotard. The new throttle tube is super smooth, well worth the extra $20.

Also look at the where the throttle cable goes into the housing also where it enters the carb. Both should be secuerd somehom( safety wire or electrical tape)

Thanks for all the helpful tips. I think I'll purchase a G2 and my dealer says he does a longer throttle cable that may help, one for higher bars as the original does seem very tight. I've tried routing it every way but still not that much slack.
