Just a quick question as to what rims will adapt to our Gassers?
I assume anything will fit with the spacers being adapted or am I wrong.
I know the disc and sprocket need to be the same but do not know what that is.
Anyone done this or got the info?
Cheers Mark

Hi i used ccm 404 wheels. it came with a ccm bracket and i used a brembo caliper and master cylinder from a ktm or husky i think. i just swap it around.
i got some spacers made for the front
the back i changed the larger wheel bearing for the gg one and added the spacer that sits in between the two bearings and it all fits
the biggets tyre you can it on the rear is a 150 or it will rub on the swing arm

Looks good mate.
Where would I get these CCM wheels and roughly how much are they?
Also, where would I find brakes etc and what should I be looking for?( I know you said brembe , but any specific type?)
Cheers Mark

Looks very nice.
I would like to get a similar set for mine. Could you please list the tyre and rim sizes for the front and rear?

Thanks:)

Hi Mark

i found my wheels on ebay, ccm is a British made bike, not even sure they are still being made, not sure if you guys imported them ether.
they use ajp hubs that is why i went for them so i new there would not be much to mod.
Talon make hubs for gg and rims the are a few to choose from. i just did not want to spend the same amount on wheels as my bikes worth lol
early ktm wheels i think may fit and Suzuki drz sm wheels might, huskys have the same spindle size i think and used ajp hubs. it just a case of research on what has the same spindle size.
regarding the brake again husky, ccm or early ktm bolt straight on. there is a fella here in the uk that can get a bracket made to fit the nissin caliper (?50 ruffly) as for wheel spacers i got my mate to turn me some out on his lave.
i will get all the part number and post them in a few days and the bits you want as well Harry

i nearly gave up on this, but fell together thank god, the bike is the nuts on sm wheels. well worth the hassle, if you guys need any help just ask an i will do my best

Nato. I was going to get the Cervantez 2011 plastics kit for my 2010 model to keep as spares for the next freshen up. The price of the kit was alright, but the postage is with Fedex and you pay. I think it cost me something like 65 euro postage just for a heap of gaskets and a couple other small things. Hardly a large order by any means. With the plastics thrown in the postage went up to 150 euro. Depending on the exhange (which has improved since I ordered of course ) it works out around $180.

Then again getting my shock back from Ohlins is going to cost an arm and a leg with UPS, and they've had too many issues with USPS so the cheap options is out.

Whats the postage prices like from them wence? That replica plastics kit looks horn!!

As Jake says , it was fairly dear $ 150 euro( $192.00Aud).
That is for wheels with tyres , brake discs, rotor and brake bracket, so I guess that is not too bad.
Cheers Mark

So roughly 400 bucks delivered for the replica plastics. Not bad really but postage is never cool :(

this is what i have for my sm

front 17x3.5 inch with a 120/60/17

rear 17x4.25inch tyre 150/60/17
both are pirelli diablo rosso 2 you need the softest tyres in these size or you cant get the heat in the tyres, the 150 is the biggest you can fit with out rubbing keep the chain long as it will rub in the swingarm. i use two chains for my wheels

the front brake caliper is a brembo 22.5381, the bracket did not have any part numbers on

above is the caliper set up im using for now

the ktm lc4 sm use the same set up, im looking at getting a 4 pot brembo but will need a bracket made

Yeah over all the price is still reasonable. I paid $200 for just stickers a while back so to have factory stickered plastics from front to back for a bit more is a shithot buy. If I had of needed them I would have pulled the trigger but with only a few beers under the belt and no need I decided to wait it out.

Thanks Gassergrant, did you try the front standard brake caliper first ?
Jake, sounds like you needed a few bears to push you into the buy (if you know what I mean;)
Cheers Mark

I'm picking up what you're putting down. The big polar bear is riding me for a 2013 200 all too often. Worse than a monkey on my back!

Cheers Antonio,
I now have the bike back from getting suspension done , so when the rims etc arrive you guys will be the first to see it.
