Hello i have i friend who bought the 2009 GAS GAS 300 RACING
We need please basic suspension setup clikers and rider-static sag
The bike is difficult to ride in enduro trails very hard the forks
My friends weight with riding gear is 90 kilos.
Anyone some advice pleaseeeee
Thank you in advance

Center all the clickers. Wind them out all the way, then back in and count them. Then return them to approximately half way. That should give you a starting point.

Make sure the adjustable preload is not wound on fully as it might give you a harsher feel.

I have my static sag at 30-35mm (1 1/4 inches) and my ride sag at 110mm (4 1/2 inches).

I have the same problem. Front fork way too stiff, but my dealer and other customers love their GasGas. Today I went to my dealer, he opened the fork and oh surprise! the compression pistons were mounted upside down. Big holes for rebound but small holes for compression. It is why it was so hard I guess! If someone at Marzocchi is putting compression pistons that way, there's a chanc other GasGas owner can have the same problem .

Hi Guys,
I Just Bought Myself A New Ec 300 09 And Could Use Some Help With The Rear Suspension. Would It Be Easy To Give Me The Standard Settings For It As The User Manual Is A Little Confusing???
Thanx

Les, LTRacing suggested to me to set the sag and open all the clickers until the suspension brakes in if it seems too harsh. Once it breaks in set to the base line settings and go from there, no more than two clicks at a time.

Good luck.

I got a 09 250 racing and the front forks are way too stiff. I was told to try the preload but I haven't found the right tool.

I am due to get a left over 08 in a week or two.
I re-valved my 03 CR250 as well as up'ed the spring rate front and rear for the rooted and rocky trails I ride here in Hawaii and the suspension is now ultra plush...no clicker adjustment it would work.
I am assuming the same goes for the EC, under sprung and over damped.
I plan to re-valve as soon as I get in a couple of rides and get a sence for whats happening, and yes check that the pistons are facing the right direction.
I have never been inside a Marzo fork (yet) but by the diagram it appears that the cart piston has a mid-valve shim stack, what about adding .75mm float and making the BV some what lighter as well.

I have Sachs forks and I found that the preload adjustment was all the way in. I backed it off half way and the forks got better.

Anyone know what the recommended preload is for Sachs forks?
