Suspension revalved

I didn't think this quite fit in the suspension section since it doesn't actually have any tech in it but...

So I've been meaning to post a quick update. I just had my suspension revalved by Brock Buttars, (Brockstar). He is fairly local to me. Located just north of Logan Utah, so about an hour and a half drive. I really liked this because I was able to drop the whole bike off with him so he could ride it while making changes. He is familiar with Zokes and very familiar with Ohlins since that what he uses on his bikes. He mostly works on KTM.

As a quick side note he just got 1st in the vet class racing the Idaho City 100.

Anyhow, I had a chance to put a few hours on the bike riding my local single track and I have to say that the 300 is a war machine! The faster I rode the better it felt! It was really predictable and stable. No more bucking on square edge stuff and no more pogo feel in chop! It feels firmer and stays up in the stroke much better. No more diving while braking. It climbs like crazy too! So, firmer, but way more comfortable. ...at the end of the ride I felt hardly any fatigue and had zero arm pump.

As far as what he did, I'm not sure on valving. But the bike had already been sprung for my weight. I also had him do SKF seals on the fork. I was a little stressed that he would find excessive wear like Jakobi did in his but he said it looked fine.

So, anyway, I'm sure this is something that most of you already know but I think this is the best money I have spent on the bike!

Brbrbum! Brumm!!

Absolutely the best place to spend your money.Don,t be afraid to have a good play with the clickers. There may be even better handling waiting to be unlocked.

Very nice! Also agree. Best improvement you can make to the bike.
I've used Ohlins TTX, Marzocchi CC, and now KYB SSS all on my 2013. The setup is more important than the brand to a large extent, and small changes can make significant impacts.
