Tame EC300 power

My 2008 EC300 has just had a full engine rebuild and the stator has been rewound.

I had my first ride on it since the rebuild this weekend and noticed the power delivery is far more harsh than before

Has anyone any tips to tame the power to make and more manageable and easier on my arms?

Cheers. I also went from 13/50 to 13/48 after the rebuild so that may be a factor

Have tried to find a flywheel weight online but no luck, does anyone have a link?

Retard the ignition timing a few degrees. You can also drop the cylinder (thonner base gasket) to move the power and lower in the rpm range.

The cheapest and best thing you can do is change the needle in your carb to a NE-- Suzuki needle. I run a NEDW in my 250 and it made a world of difference. Bike runs real clean and strong right from idle. Power comes on slower but strong and much more predictable. A G2 throttle with a #400 cam works real well but they are a little pricey (over $100). It gives you more control the initial throttle opening.
I also agree with ian1987 the taller gearing can make the bike more harsh to ride in the tight stuff because it forces you to ride in first gear more which is hard on your arms. Speaking of arms-- leaning forward while accelerating will also make it much easier on the arms.
