Taming the beast

My mates recently bought a 2010/2011 ec300, and it feels a lot more motocrossy compared to my 21 rieju 300 , I've changed his jetting to nech needle etc and it runs a lot cleaner now , but it's still too much for him for hard enduro ..

Any other mods we can do to it to help make it smoother for him ? It doesn't have the adjustable power valve like on my bike.

Also his bike vibrates like fook it feels like an old school 500

Has he tried using the MAP switch? It will tame the bike down some. Make sure the carb is just a little on the rich side and same with the air screw.

Yeah he's running it in rain mode ..
I did think about making things richer for him but the problem is he's a slow rider so he'll be fouling plugs all the time

Do what was recommended over at TT. The G2 throttle tamer might be just the trick.

A flywheel wheight may also help. As for the plugs, running a hotter grade could be a solution if he's never above idle or thereabouts
