Thanks to Dave Smith (Dave) for this great tech article that converts the seat to a quick release affair using a dzus fastener. Check out the tech articles on the main site for this great article.

Nice job Dave! It has a very professional look to it. How has it been holding up over time? Any issues with it wanting to auto-release?

Since I mounted my larger IMS tank, the seat base gets under more tension (bending). I'm curious if the single attachment would retain the back of my seat. I usually resort to tapping the back of the seat with a rubber mallet to position it forward, then quickly stick in the side screws to anchor it once all mounting holes line up. A single attachment would be very handy... just may have to try it out.

I did the seat mod a little over two years ago. The seat has yet to come loose while riding and the original Dzus fastener is still being used. The only time I had a problem with it is when a nice endo really bent the subframe. The misalignment made refastening tough, but the seat still stayed put.
