The Future / Updates

Has anyone heard of any recent updates whether from GGNA or KTM, whats the story on the GG dealer network. Will the existing GG dealers continue with Red bikes only, will KTM dealers sell both Red and Orange bikes.

I will be looking to trade up this year and are wondering about options.

I asked my local Husky dealer if they would be getting GasGas now that thet've been bought by KTM and he said no. He said that it is KTM policy to have only one of "their own" brands in any dealership. They love their brands being sold next to non KTM brands but no KTM/HUSKY/GasGas dealerships. Their goal is to have their products in as many different dealerships as possible.

Weird. A local dealer has Can-am, Ski-doo, Sea-doo, Suzuki, Kawasaki, KTM, Husqvarna, Alta Motors and CFMoto brands.

Maybe 'cause i live in Montana, and dealers are sparse, they let multiple brands co-exist.

I spoke with a KTM dealer here in Ontario back in early December, they heard nothing from KTM head office and did not look like he would be carrying any GG. Given there were maybe 5 GG dealers here in Canada to start, the future will be bleak if more are not added. Considering my local GG dealer appear to be selling off the GG parts inventory, I doubt they will be carrying red KTMs.

Local KTM dealer sells KTM, Husky, and Honda.

So when will the first KTM flavoured GasGas bikes be coming off the production line?

I guess we'll be seeing fuel injected Gassers sooner than originally expected.

From my experience dealers have little to no information in regards to what the manufacturers are actually doing. Its been a while but I used to work for a multi manufacture dealer, Kawi/Honda/KTM/Can Am (BRP) and we never knew what was going on with new models until it was time to send in orders, and most of that info was not passed down to the actual employees you are talking to. I was there for the first year of the FI CRF line and we didnt even know they were coming until I read it in a magazine and then found out later from Honda. I am not saying dealers have no info but I would not consider them the experts most think they should be. Also take into account who you are talking to, in my experience the sales staff on the floor were the least informed of all.

Does any of it matter? GG enduro bikes won't ever be the real GG ever again under KTM. <sigh>

Like it or not. GasGas would be dead without KTM's intervention.
Sad that there's no accountability for the management team that caused this.

Just confirmed in our latest dirt bike magazine that gasgas/ktm will no longer have kyb. I was hoping there was a slim chance they would keep it on the new bikes but it is now confirmed it will be wp front n rear like all other ktm bikes..

Supposedly, (Before the KTM acquisition) GasGas was set to release an all new engine in 2021.
I wonder what happened to that engine?
