So after doing the TZR125 front and GS500 rear SuMo conversion, I eventually decided it was time to get some proper sized wheels and a nice 320mm brake disc. After a bit of a rear on here and the KTM forums, it appears RS125 wheels are the wheel of choice... So what is required to make the buggers fit?
First off, these wheels are from a 2007+ RS125, and are being put on a 2002 EC300.
Front wheel, though the other post states the front wheel requires machining, it does not.
To make fit you require -
2x 25x47x12 bearings
1x 25.1x32(minimum)x78.6mm centre spacer
1x 25.1x32x12 disc side spacer
1x 25.1x32x16 hub side spacer
2x 32x47x7 seals
Adaptor bracket required has 3 holes
Hole 1 - X0Y0 (datum)
Hole 2 - X35Y-2.5
Hole 3 - X51.5Y0
Then it must be milled with 12mm clearance on the holes.
Rear wheel -
Sprocket hub must have 7mm machined off of the disc face, and 6mm off of the hub.
Rear wheel must have 3mm off of the disc face and 3mm off of the hub
Centre spacer remains the same
Disc side spacer 20x32x7mm
Sprocket side spacer (stepped) -
ID 20
OD1 25x18 L
OD2 32x12 L
Then just replace all of the carrier and sprocket bolts with low profile button heads, and off you go !
