The Rules, Good Karma & Bad Karma.

The recent transition in distributorship in the U.S. has polarized some of the folks here. And some mud slinging has been going on that crosses over the line. I have had to delete several posts where the posts had "nothing to add" except to "tear something down" or to serve the purpose of "stirring shit up".

I really don't like it when someone attacks another person - so I have latched on to Rule #1 for this community :

"It's okay to attack an idea, but it is not okay to attack a person" (or a company/entity).

This isn't a soap opera and there will be zero tolerance for anyone who attacks others to try to make it so.

Please show respect to every individual and every company who participates in this community.

Thanks,
Jeff Dunham

Agreed. Funny story.... I had no idea your last name was Dunham. My wife thought we were giving donations to the comic Jeff Dunham........

But I agree, live and learn. I've had my hand slapped a few times! Its easy to get caught up in the negativity. Much harder to be positive or just stay out of it.

I just had to delete another post....

Please show respect to everyone in this community.

Again, Rule #1 is :

"It's okay to attack an idea, but it is not okay to attack a person" (or a company/entity).

Jeff,
I really appreciate what you've done with this web site and forum. It's always been an excellent example of what I think a forum should be. Your donation of the web site, the forum, and server space has given this wonderful community a home in which to grow and thrive.

This is really a special community.
As much as I think I know about Gas Gas off-road bikes, without the input of the folks here, my 2011 250 would still have a noisy powervalve, and "not quite right" jetting.
(In the last seven years, I had lost track of changes such as the AS2 carb; and I couldn't imagine an GasGas engine being built with the pv out of adjustment, until I read it here. That's just not how GasGas engines were built back "in my day". :^)
Thanks to all ya'll, I've now got a good running bike.

I still feel that I have something to add to the discussions, but you guys add so much more. The riders who shared tech documents deserve special thanks. From Ewe, to Eric, to Matt, to Girard, Glenn, to Jake and all the rest of you who have taken the time to experiment, document your findings, and then share with the rest of us, I thank you all.

Everyone here is always willing to help each other. It's great!

And... I thank you, Jeff, for making it possible.

Sincerely, and Good Riding to All Ya'll!
Jim Cook
