Throttle free play

My throttle has no free play. This happened on my last ride. I adjusted the cable as loose as it can go, but the throttle still has no free play?

My cable once got out of place in the slide on the older carb AS1 and took up free play. Check that or cable routing pulling on the cable out of the normal place of routing.

That was it! Somehow it head threaded it self out. Must be all the vibration on these 300's.

Keep your free play to 1mm Max. I always felt comfortable having about 5mm, but more than once this has caused the throttle to stick open after a landing, and with no push left in the cable it just sits partly open... I.e. "fuck this" and jump off the bike!!!

I've had the same, been wondering why I'm getting nowhere with my jetting turns out the throttle adjuster had wound itself out a bit

Would also safety wire cable at both ends if you ride trails with
A lot of plant growth. Would make it "interesting" if cable got hooked up on a branch.

Or spend up on a motion pro T3 with captive ends.
