Titled 2001 SE300

I raced this bike last year in D22 hare scrambles. Solid bike, as I fixed items during the season that I noticed needed work. The SE is a custom version of the standard 300 with gold anodized bits, Ohlins forks, and a personalized nameplate (woo-hoo).

Iowa title and plate
Ohlins fork - set up for 190 lb rider, fresh oil
Linkage greased and set up, I replaced some frozen bearings
Clean bike, engine still runs strong
2k2 ignition (might have a weight on it - need to check what oz.)
Checkpoint top triple clamp, oversized bars and adjustable bar positioning
New KX white sidepanels
Tall GUTS racing seat and cover
Nickel frame, subframe straight, no cracks or welding
Gold DID U rims, straight, no dings
I'm the third owner of this bike, and assisted the second owner with service and maintenance. It has been very well cared for.

$1500 firm

I really don't want to sell this, so I'll probably keep it if the offers aren't there.

PM me for pics

I knew I'd forget what I did to this bike. Put in new fork seals mid year, and serviced the swingarm and shock bearings when I did the linkage.

Just wanted to say that pics are coming to those that requested them, I had a death in the family and of course that changes plans. I should have them tomorrow evening.

Thanks for your understanding.

Hawkeye is a stand up guy he sold me his 200 two years ago and it was everything he said it was and more. He is a bit of a procrastinator(sp?)if it is the same 300 he had then it is SWEET and well worth what he is asking.

ec 300

I had a 2002 ec 300 should not have put a price on it , friend said I will take it then I had a 2005 450 fse , sounds like a road trip:):

Tell me what you did to fit the newer tank to the older chassis with the tall shock mount? Did you form or mold a shock mount recess into the tank like the oe tank? BTW nice bike and good luck with the sale!

Honestly, I'll have to ask my buddy who had the bike before me, he did the work. The photo does show that he made an aluminum plate to move the front mount back to line up with the newer tank. Underneath by the shock mount, I never thought about it. You are right though, in 2002, the factory went with the shorter shock and moved the top mount down about 40-50mm.

I have an interested party sending me a down payment check to hold the bike. Thanks everyone for your patience and interest in this classic Gasser. I'm considering the bike SOLD.
