TMD skid plate

nobody?

(since others are complaining about the forum being quiet i figured this would be a good time to get some answers on the unanswered posts!)

Since you were referring to me I'll respond even if I don't have an answer lol. Sounds nice from the description. I have a Hyde on my 2010. I like it but it is a pain in the butt to put back on after you remove it.

Haha well just making conversation since I have just received an AXP skid plate so will give a review soon. Looks good in the box and brackets look much more pro AND they have a second drain hole for the crank plug :-)

We have a TMD in red at the shop, it looks pretty good. Better than the AXP as it has no welds. I just tossed my AXP at 15hrs because it was trashed, hope yours holds up better.

We don't have any older ones here or I would check.
Here's my AXP with 15hrs, note the left side is coming off at the front and the back side is pretty messed up as well.

is there a good picture of the TMD one? And from your location I going to go out on a limb here... rocky trails?

I did think about the weld coming apart but thought the chances were slim of it happening :-/
The Hyde is also lacking in coverage at the left foot peg, this looked better in the pics.
Now just need to get someone to try the tmd on an older GG. But the coverage at the back end seems less than the axp

I'll try to remember to take a pic of the TMD tomorrow but it won't be on an older bike. Might hold it up to a 13 though. I opted for a Scorpion plate because I was hoping it would hold up better and it seems to have good coverage.

OK, I didn't get a pic on the bike because you have to take the front pipe mount loose tho put it up there. Hopefully these pics will give you a better idea if it will fit.
MOunts to stock brackets in front and through the frame where the link mount is at the back. I'm not sure what the two extra holes at the back are for.

just reviving this tread as i am in need of a new skid plate.

Anyone confirmed if this will fit the 2010/11 bikes without major complications?

The TMD website lists skid plates for 2010 and 2011 for $90 ( states limited quantities).;
Thanks, only problem is that shipping direct from their site is high, want to increase my options (TMD shipping $69 vs ebay shipping $28 ... I know it is different services but i am willing to wait)

Will drop them an email in the meantime

Reviving the thread! Did you ever try to fit a later '12-'13 skid plate on your '10?

Bummer. Looking for a new skid plate for my '11 and I really don't want aluminum or carbon fiber.

Wow, didn't see them listed last time I looked. Maybe I somehow overlooked them. Problem solved! Thanks Mr.'Berg!
