I havea pair of gaerne mx boots and there awesome for riding my ec 2fiddy but I also have.a txt 2fiddy an is it worth me buying a pair of trials boots?..

Yes, you can't balance properly or move your ankles to the angles needed in mx boots.

Yeah, trials boots are so much more comfortable for trials than MX boots especially walking the sections. I don't ride trials much anymore and I use my trials boots to ride dual sport in.

I have a pair of alpine star road boots would they be better than mx boots until I get some trials boots?

If you can walk in them and they don't feel like ski boots...ya know you'll be OK until you get a proper pair of T boots.

As stated above you need ankle movement to get the feel of your bike.

I am using road bike boots also. They seem to work ok.Obviously trials boots would be better but alas I need other things first and what I don't know won't hurt me.
Cheers Mark

If you have an old worn out pair of MX boots that are mostly leather, they will usually work as good compromise trials boot too. I also like the Sidi Discovery boots as a good slightly heavier duty trials boot and you can also use them for trail riding. I've had plenty of specific trials boots and am wearing my Sidi's more, because they give just a little better protection and don't give up much "feel". They are expensive though.
