Hi,my budy want to sold the bike and he want to give to me one of this parts and I don't know what to choose :) the price is the same. I like to have S3 for a bit less consumption but the adjustable pv cover seems to help a lot too, especially on gnarly terain.

I would take the Trusty cover. The head can be modified to your liking quite easily anyway (if you have access to a lathe).

I would take the head it will give you more performance across the rpm range.

Maybe but it should be higher compression than the stock head. I thought the S3 head had different inserts to adjust compression and squish.

The S3 inserts are the same volume as OEM. Their means of adjusting compression and squish clearance is by deck height alone. Not a bad method if your squish is already in range, but as we all know, using the OEM head to pull the squish down without increasing the volume generally results in more compression than wanted.

So the S3 head kind of misses the point.

Spend money on machining the std head. Will bring more benefit.
And a decent needle.
