Hi guys.
Thought i would share this.
I run the tubliss system on my 2011 ec200.
I hate riding with it in my hydrapack (big risk of impalement in a crash), so i made them sit under the seat just above the airfilter.
It is nicely out of the way and safe.

That's a great idea! I run tubliss also and carry that stuff in my pack inside a little tool pouch. Originally I drilled holes in the handles and stored them like this...

But recently I was in autozone and saw a shorter plug kit with just a single tool. The reamer is on the shaft of the threading tool. So I grabbed that. I don't have a pic but it was made by slime.

I just had this conversation with my bud n now I have answers that make sense ! I like my Tubliss for sure :D

Here is a single tool option. http://www.dynaplug.com/
I have not tried one yet but it sure looks cool and is smaller than a typical automotive kit.

I like the look of that one too, but does it leave a little metal spike inside the tire? If so, I would worry about that being pushed against my Tubliss and puncturing it.

Here is one slime makes that I hadn't seen before poking around the web site. This solves all the issues with carrying the plug kit.

You have to have slime in the tire in any case if your run tubliss.
Remember.
Tubliss alows you to run real low pressures. More traction, and no pinch flats (Where your wheel hit a rock, and pinches the tube between teh inside of the tire and the rim thereby cutting it)
Then, for thorns and small holes, the slime seals it no problem.
Sometimes though, you get a cut or a branch making a bigger hole. nothing seals that. That is where you pull out the puncture repair kit and fix it.
I carry co2 canisters with me for when that happens and im up and running again.

Then you do patch, you use those metal spokes at an angle. You will not damage your inner of your tubliss.

Also remember.
I have finished the last lap on my bike with a completely deflated front tire and i did not even notice. The tubliss system allows you to run your tires completely deflated relatively safely. The tires do not come off the rims.

I carry a similar co2 inflator. The cheap tusk brand from rockymountainmc.com. Works on presta valves too, in case you mountain bike.

I too have finished rides on a flat with the tubliss. Sometimes I didn't even know the rear was flat. But that was on a soft terrain tire that feels flat to ride on anyway in our rocky desert terrain. I just went to a Desert IT. I'm excited to get out and try it.

yup I run the tubliss in the rear with a destert AT *flat* also. Don't have to carry a plug kit. been running it for a year. better traction in loose stuff than a trials but still conforms to rocks and roots like a trials tire. Great contact patch.
