Which piston do i buy?where isthe best place to buy piston & gaskets?
my bike serialnumber is: VTRGG250002000562*

Also there was loads of mud inside the airbox, the seal doesnt seem great, is

Welcome to the forum and for trials I have used Jacks Cycle out of Maine . Stu is a national level rider and very good with trouble shooting your bike . His number is 1-207-337-1274 and he maybe open today . The other dealer I use is Mattos here in Pa and they have a machine shop repair center and get parts out quick Brad is the parts guy there number is 1-570-429-0678 . They will have parts available and expert advice on how to fix it . We will be riding our trials bikes New Years Day have fun with yours !

Regarding parts in the UK I would try http://www.trialendurodirect.com/ which is the online shop of Gasgas UK if I have understood matters correctly.
I suggest you buy the piston first and then get the cylinder repaired to match the piston.
Regarding frame number I don't know.
If you suspect dirt has entered the intake I would also consider checking the main and conrod big end bearings. Not fun to rebuild the top end just to learn as soon as you start it up that the bottom end bearings are shot too.
Do you have any idea on how many hours the engine has ran since last rebuild?

Should be a plated barrel, so what is condition of the plating? Ally smeared on needs to be removed carefully. The barrel will have a letter stamped on it for piston size originally fitted but best to get it measured by savy 2 stroke shop. Heaps of small adds if you pick up a classic mc mechanics magazine in the shop.

Thanks for the info, think it was a straight forward seize, don't want to split the case at this point, but will do the con rod bearing at same time, taking barrel to engine shop for advice, then order a piston.thanks for the help👍👍
