i am 6'2" and want to know what bars would be a good choice for a taller/older rider? also what grips are good lasting and thicker for more comfort ( a couple choices would be nice) thanks for all your help guys.

Well I'm 6'3" and I like the CR High Bars. I just bought some Moose flex bars that really are nice. I like the half waffle grips myself.

Not sure what year model your bike is but the newer ones have a front & rear hole on the upper tripple tree. Put your bar clamps in the front hole and check to see if you have 2 alum washers under each bar clamp. If not order some and put them on. You will get a little more than a 1/4 inch rise on the bars. Once again this is only if you have a newer bike. This helped me out.

Ive just gone down this road.

I'm 6'7 short.

Pro Tapers highest bend is the Pastrana, and they are virtually an exact match of the stock ones on my 07 EC300.

I have had custom raisers made at a local shop, giving me an extra 3cm, and what a difference! I have sent her in for new tyres, and will post pics of what he did when I pick my baby up.

I use the Pro Taper Gel grips - Soft. They don't last too long, but are an absolute pleasure in the very technical stuff. Just be careful if you wire them, as the wire will cut right through!

Oh, my seat is also 1" taller, which really helps as well.

Spyder's are the best grip I've tried, they are extra sticky and very tuff. I like the slx grips, they are smaller and they really reduce arm pump for me. I have tried the M1s and did not like the diameter.
