Well, this isn't good

Yeah, it is weird. I've been through every single part of the bottom end and found nothing. Every bearing was in spec but I went ahead and replaced them all. Just gotta rebuild my crank and I can put it all back together.

Probably someone broke a gear on the transmission before you ever owned it a they did not clean cases out good ?

Supposedly the cases had never been split and it appeared to me to be true. I don't know. What a mystery!

I could show you a few of my Gasgas engines that I personally have split and rebuilt and you probably say same about these . But like ya said it’s a mystery . Maybe someone dropped the pieces in during assembly.

So, what year did the water pump gasket change to an o-ring type? I've been waiting on the back ordered water pump gasket and it arrived today. Sadly, it is the o-ring type and mine uses a paper gasket. The oldest bike CPD lists parts for is the 2015 model so that's what I ordered. Now I'm a little miffed if the case is it changed before 2015 and they don't list it. How the **** is someone supposed to know the correct number to order when the old GasGas numbers don't work any more!

Gasket paper is cheap. Trace the general outline and cut your own using a craft knife.
It's what we all did back in the 70s and 80s when the stealer-dealers were milking us for a piece of paper.

Find correct part number for your year bike and put that part number into cpd search block . This is how you buy parts for older Gasgas bikes from cpd if they have them . You manually have to search . There was a water pump gasket change back in early 2000 year range or older in paper but both were paper . Just slight different shape . I don’t know when they went to oring style .

This is for your 2011 ec250
When I tried entering that old GasGas part number when I went to order I got nothing. Of course, I see CPD has updated their parts diagrams within the past week or so so maybe that's why it now pops up. Ugh.

You need to use the search block on the main page website . I don’t know if the search block on the parts fiche link always works for old parts .
