I'm looking to have mine rebuilt and resprung locally. There aren't any suspension guys around here but a general dirt bike mechanic that I've used in the past is more than capable of servicing it and changing a spring - I just don't think he'd know what shock it is by looking at it.
I've noticed that the "arm" that attaches the cylinder to the side of the shock slopes down on mine, which is necessary to clear the subframe as the top shock mount is higher than on later bikes.
You can compare this 450 Quad shock to a later model bike shock to see the difference in slope..

Mine's more like the 450 ATV.
