Howdy,
When I was fitting a bash plate onto my Gasser I noticed this tapped hole under the motor, it is open and looks like it is drilled right through. I see now the manual also shows it.
Should this not be blanked off to prevent muck being sucked in?
Its the drain hole for the flywheel cover. Some people block it off, but any moisture that gets past your gaskets will stay in there. I've left mine open for many kms and my stator and flywheel still look smick.
