Which oil?

My friend runs the same bike as mine 2005 EC 200 with Rekluse. He took mine for a little spin and said it was sweet and crisp. Making much more power than his. Getting back to the point he recommended using mineral oil with the Rekluse as I was using synthetic. I have a race next Saturday and have put mineral oil in to test but which oil would be best?

I spoke to the Rekluse tech and rep at last January's KTM Ride Days.

I asked about the fabled recommendation to use Rotella non-synth.

They said Rotella is mentioned because it was the first oil they used and it worked. Both acknowledged that all sorts of oils would work, and they might get around to officially test things, but it wasn't a top priority for the company.

Today I am using my regular Walmart ATF on my first weekend of technical riding with my new-used Core-EXP. Seems to work fine.

I wouldn't change what works for you just before a race, if it is working well now.

Thats just it i'm not sure it is working properly! I am having problems keeping tick over and stalling. I have run out of adjustment on my carb for some reason so tick over is low!
