Picked up this beauty. The story goes these where raced in Spain 2003-2004.
Wild 300 are pretty rare i think let alone a special order 240 here in Wisconsin. Was originally sold in Minnesota though.

Well i must say i am very impressed with the build quality of the bike. Its top notch. Everything about it screams 250r.

Been in contact with go faster to find out just what kinda beast this thing is made of. So far what i get is 250 jug 300 bottom end special 240 piston special head?

I cant remember the Gentleman name i spoke to over there hopefully he will chime in.

Without further ado here is a wild 240

Wow:eek:
That looks fantastic. It must just rip! Hey you should stick a plow on the front and go terrorize the neighborhood. $20 a driveway.

Its about worthless in anything over 2 inches of snow though. The swinger is 2 inches from the ground hangs up almost right away on contact with heavy snow.

Ya I know I was just fun'n.:D

They had one similar at the ice racing track with studded tires. Man did that thing ever hook up. I wish I would have taken some pictures of it.

Just sitting on the bike it has such a feel of quality and rigidness if that makes sense. It just feels like a Benz or something i guess. I would swear it was a lagers 250r frame.

i nabbed a trx11 pipe today from duncan racing. Will begin the install as soon as it warms up a little.

Sending head off to RB for some re work. I would like to see about 55-60hp out of this motor. I do a lot of long runs around here and getting up to speed quickly is very important.

I sold of my 73 240z with triple weber blowthrough turbo setup....so i need my speed fix elsewhere.

The 240 took 2nd in a 250cc class today on the ice :) i was happy. On a sid enote i am baffled buy the fact that there is no master link on my chain. Guess i need to break it to get it off?

Was little warmer today mid 40's took her out for a ride. Jetting was 185 42 4th clip on cck. Started getting some sputtering on the low end. Ran fine on the top once cleared out. Seems to be more smoke than normal out the back. Took plug out its all nice and brown but glazed. Must be oil fouled? anyway no clean plugs on hand raised needle one clip runs a little better but suspect plug is just to fouled out to stop sputtering. I got nervous but all my gear fluid and all my coolant is there so its not that. Am i correct in thinking it was just running to rich and now the plug is junk therefore oil is not getting burned as well hence the more smoke theory?

I have a 300 wild and after a long research and self experiencing I found the perfect formula:

180 main, 38 idle, n1eg on 1st clip from above, and the most important, n? 9 slide! The quad came with n? 7 slide wich is very rich from bottom to 1/4 throttle.

I am running at sea level, 10degrees celsius.

The main problem I have is finding someone to ride with. Most of my quad riding friends have gone back to bikes and sold their quads. I still love my 300HP and ride it as often as I can find someone to ride with. I have a friend who still has his Honda TRX450R and we ride occasionally. Now, we are going to The Ridge next weekend to ride and I'm taking my 300HP as well as my 300 bike, but he is waffeling on taking his quad and only wants to take his bike. The main complaint they have is with their suspension. Most don't want to spring for the $1100 or so dollars to make their quads not destroy their backs. Our Olins take that care of that problem.
One of my friends made fun of the money I spent on my Gas Gas when I bought it. He said he could buy a Yamaha much cheaper. My answer was "so can I". We rode in Colorado a couple of years ago and he bitched the whole time that his suspension was killing his back. He came home and sold the Yamaha. My Gas Gas was loving those rocks and so was I!

True. Performance wise though pain means gain....to some degree. I understand taking a stock banshee god those things are hell or even a blaster.

That is great information. Thanks.
