windows 7

Are any of you using windows 7? If so can you let me know if you can see the add banner at the top of the main page here at gasgagrider.

I just got the new windows 7 and can not see the add banner any more. I have look with my XP system and it is there, but not with windows 7.

I was wondering if this was just something I need to turn on in windows 7 of if it just will not show with the 7 operating system?

i have windows seven on my school computer, and i still see advertisement banners. look in your web browsers options, there may be something there that is preventing ads from showing up.

That wouldn't be a windows 7 problem but more of a browser problem. What browser and version were you using before and now?

I’m pretty computer illiterate and could use some help finding what I need to click or turn on. I would have thought that the computer would do normal things such as this, but with my computer, that’s not the case. Any help would be great.

The computer is a HP 6000 series, bought from Costco 2 months ago if that helps.

There have been "issues" in the recent past with images not being displayed in IE8. There are numerous instances of this if you do a search on it. My own website fell foul of one of these issues and it appears king Bill and his mates expect everyone to alter their pages to display in his magnificent bloatware browser. Try downloading Firefox or Chrome, I bet they work properly and they are certainly faster.

internet explorer: the best web browser for downloading a new web browser
go onto google, and search google chrome. when it comes up download it, and it should give you the option of installing it. very fast an very easy to use.

I have been running firefox for years and just downloaded google chrome - Oh my gawd - noticeably faster. THANKS!

Somehow, it interacts with the forum software differently - and everything on the forum seems snappier without hanging up.

The open source version of Chrome called SRware Iron is even better. It has none of the snooping features of Chrome.
